Here I found some illustration work done by DXTR for a book of world famous hangovers and strange hangover cures. The book uses DXTR's famous cartoon cat character because the German word for a hangover is Kater which also means cat! I love the illustrations because they are so simple yet very dark and entertaining and remind me of old cartoon violence like Tom & Jerry.

Un-naturally Natural
Here we have more picture of animals but this time with a difference! I came across this collection of designs recently that show many different animals such as leopards, owls and the ones I have posted above. I think the prints are great as it has something that is very raw and natural for example a lion, and has turned it into something very un natural, cold and geometric. The pictures give the animals a cold, lifeless look with the use of the blank eyes. Images not usually seen of animals in this manner.
My Kind of Crazy
Here we have some postcards designed by an art collection named "Le Gun" with contibuting artists such as Alex Wright, Hannah Bays and Dr.D. I really like some of the designs that have been put forth for the postcards as they are a special kind of insanity that only a few people (myself included) understand and appreiciate
Here's more anti-festivity!
Following on from my last post, here are some great pieces of art print that I found based on Christmas and or Father Christmas. The pictures are very interesting as they give a darker and more comical look at the festive holiday and for some probably just ruin it for them. But ah well, enjoy!
Well theres Christmas ruined!

Here we have a video by Beyond Design. The video takes a very cynical but yet correct description of how Father Christmas would make his Christmas run each year using incredible facts, figures and statistics to pretty much quell the myth of Father Christmas once and for all! Whatever you do don't show this to your children.

House of Wolf
I know that this isn't necessarily what I'd normally post about but i found this place when researching pubs and bars in London for a brief. Its quite hard for me to describe what it is so I'll say it in their own words, "House of Wolf is a multi-functional, multi-sensory experimental pleasure palace, dedicated to the creative pursuits of dining, drinking, art and entertainment." This place to me looks simply incredible, with its victorian steampunk style I can imagine the likes of Dorian Gray popping in for a drink. This place isn't just a fancy drinking hole for the wealthy, it is an experience with its experimental cocktails cooked up in the same style in which alchemists would turn lead in to gold. But don't just think you can walk in, this place has quite the list of reservations!

Alternative Movie Posters

As a fan of film and cinema I happen to read Empire magazine quiet a lot, and each month they show a fan made alternative poster for a film that they are either reviewing or that has recently been released. I really like these posters as they give a different approach to the film but still manage to stay in the theme that the film has with most often than not a few subtle hints to the actual film. These posters can be in the style of a rorschach test made to look like Bane the main antagonist of the resent Dark Knight film, a gunshot in the dark lighting up Bond's face in Skyfall (an image from the films opening scene) or just simply an image of one of the key scenes from a film like that of the Avengers Assemble poster which shows IronMan flying into the portal to face the aliens in space.
